Deportivo Cuenca enfrentó a San
Martín de Perú por la Noche Colorada 2019, la hinchada asistió en buen número
para apoyar al equipo más popular de la ciudad y gozó de una buena victoria
colorada. San Martín tuvo en Diego Penny a su máxima figura, el portero peruano
ahogó en reiteradas ocasiones los gritos de gol de la hinchada cuencana.
El Cuenca fue el que propuso, San
Martín de Porres basó su juego en el orden defensivo y en el buen toque de balón, pero no
gozó de buenas oportunidades de gol, Brian Heras no fue exigido. Los locales
debieron haberse ido con ventaja al descanso, sin embargo Penny salvó un mano a
mano frente a Emmanuel Martínez.
En el segundo tiempo Soler dispuso el ingreso de Edison
Preciado y el Cuenca potenció su juego ofensivo, el número 13 entró al campo de
juego inspirado y a marcar diferencias, con su habilidad tuvo a mal traer a la
zaga peruana. Al minuto 56 de juego llegó el gol del triunfo colorado, una
estupenda combinación entre Raúl Becerra y Preciado, culminó con gol de este
último.
Preciado no se conformó con esa anotación y se convirtió en
la figura del partido, estuvo a punto de ampliar la diferencia, pero Penny
evitó que aquello suceda, además se puso el equipo a la espalda e incluso le
puso un pase gol a Jackson Pita, quien desaprovechó la oportunidad de ampliar
la diferencia. Deportivo Cuenca venció 1 a 0 en este amistoso internacional,
Preciado se robó el show y la hinchada salió contenta del estadio Alejandro
Serrano Aguilar.
